"Since the minute [my] chair turned around [in Aiden's blind audition], I just felt like I was looking at myself up there," Horan, 32, exclusively told Us Weekly while attending The Voice season 28 live show red carpet on Monday, December 15. "Like, there's so many comparisons to be made." Aiden, 20, received a four-chair turn with his cover of Adele's "Love in the Dark" during the blind auditions, ultimately joining Team Niall. Aiden's journey echoes that of his coach, who was 16 years old when he auditioned for The X Factor UK in 2010. (Niall joined the band One Direction, which also consisted of members Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and the late Liam Payne. The group came in third place, but the competition marked the start of their global fame.) Niall continued of Aiden, "He's a ridiculous singer. He's arguably the best singer in the competition, arguably the best singer I've heard around in a long time. But that youthful energy that he's got, you know, the excitement to want to make records and write songs and stuff like that, is something that I see a lot of myself in. But I'm definitely not as talented as that dude." Niall Horan Says He Wishes He Didn't Take a Year Off 'The Voice' Aiden is one of six artists who made it to the finale. Another Team Niall group, DEK of Hearts, was announced on Monday night as one of the wildcard artists voted into the Top 6 by viewers, along with Team Michael Bublé's Max Chambers. The remaining finalists are Team Bublé's Jazz McKenzie, Team Reba McEntire's Aubrey Nicole and Team Snoop Dogg's Ralph Edwards. "I think Aiden is the perfect person to represent Team Niall in the finale," Niall said after choosing the Texas A&M University student to move on to the finale following his performance of Damien Rice's "The Blower's Daughter" in the playoffs. "He's comfortable in his own voice - to think that this guy is only 20 years old and has that talent is frightening," Niall continued. Trae Patton/NBC Niall gushed to Us that season 28 of The Voice has had "the highest level across the board of talent." "I'm sure everyone else thinks that they've got an unbelievable artist, but the talent level is through the roof," he said. Monday night's episode saw the finalists each perform two songs - one classic and one contemporary - as they vied for America's vote one last time. Niall told Us ahead of the show that his advice for his artists was to "treat it like any other performance" despite being on live TV. Meet 'The Voice' Contestant Who Reminds Niall Horan of Taylor Swift "I've been saying that to them for the last week, just like, treat it like it's another three minutes of your life. America will take over, and forget about the red light and the camera and the live audience at home," he explained. "Just treat it like any other performance and try and enjoy it. Because I'm very lucky that the quality of singing is so high that they don't need to worry about the singing part. Like just go out and do your best three minutes and just leave it up to everyone else to take on the rest." During part two of the finale, viewers will see live performances from special guests, including Zac Brown, Noah Cyrus and more, before the winner of season 28 is revealed. Part two of The Voice's season 28 finale airs on NBC Tuesday, December 16, at 9 p.m. ET.
