Alix Earle is finally giving what fans want... a full breakdown on her recent split. If you missed it, news broke earlier this month that the influencer broke up with her boyfriend, Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios, after two years of dating. Sources insisted the split mostly came down to one thing: "distance." But was that really what happened? Alix is opening up for the first time about why she and Braxton ended their relationship. While in tears, she explained in an emotional video posted to TikTok on Saturday: "It's just been really hard to process in general, and I think why I've been scared to say something is because I feel like it just makes it more real. Braxton and I are no longer together. We have been doing long distance since basically June and we haven't gotten to see each other that often. It's just been really difficult for me." The content creator shared that she felt "really motivated" and "really liked" being in Los Angeles while competing on Dancing with the Stars this year and even considered moving there permanently, which terrified her. Why? Because that meant she and Braxton would no longer be near each other: "I think that was a scary thing for me to realize because it meant us not being in the same place." However, it was more than just the idea of distance between them. She continued: "A part of me also really wants to be focusing on myself right now. I just feel like I can't be what Braxton needs. I want him to have someone who can be there for him 24/7 and support him." Although Alix insisted the football player "wasn't really expecting that of" her, she "constantly felt guilty." And ultimately, she had to end it. The decision has been "really difficult" for the social media personality since Braxton is her "best friend," but they just aren't on the same path right now: "It just kinda feels like we're on two different paths right now, and it sucks." Despite the breakup, Alix insisted they are "on good terms." Because of that, she doesn't "want anyone to come for him or be mean to him." She is seemingly referring to how Braxton was bashed online for poking fun at their split last week. He posted tons of pics of himself to Instagram with the caption: "What did I miss?" View this post on Instagram A post shared by Braxton Berrios (@braxtonberrios) And her fans made sure he knew exactly what he missed! They said things like: "You missed the fox trot, Argentine tango, quickstep, paso doble, samba, freestyle" "You actually missed every single one of Alix's performances on dancing with the stars" "The whole season of @dancingwiththestars boo" "If you turn on the news. Apparently you're going though a breakup." "You'll miss being relevant soon" "A lot but thank you keeping the bench nice and warm." Yeesh! Alix wants all of that to stop, though, especially the DWTS comments! Whether or not her fans will listen to her is a different story... For now, Alix shared that she has been "questioning" herself a lot and wasn't sure if "how [she] feel[s] even makes sense." She just wants to make it clear that no one did "anything wrong" to cause the breakup: "I think I ultimately just wanted to go with trusting my feelings. This has just been really hard. ... It's not drama. It's not because he did anything wrong or I did anything wrong. It just didn't really feel like it was working out, in the moment." Alix was not kidding when she previously said she was "rlly going thru it." Oof.
