We're now piecing together more about the timeline of events leading up to Rob and Michele Reiner's death, and it's alarming. As Perezcious readers know, the husband and wife were found dead in their Brentwood home on Sunday afternoon after attending Conan O'Brien's holiday party the night before, where The Princess Bride director was seen getting into an argument with his son Nick. Rob and Michele reportedly left quickly after the fight broke out. It's not known when Nick left. Nick, who has struggled with addiction and mental health challenges for years, has been arrested for their murders. His court hearing was supposed to be on Tuesday, but it has been delayed because he has not been medically cleared yet amid reports he's on suicide watch. Well, we now know that the screenwriter checked himself into The Pierside Santa Monica hotel at around 4 a.m. on Sunday with his own credit card. Eyewitnesses claimed he seemed "tweaked out" - but, importantly, there were NO visible signs of violence of him. No reported blood on his clothing, nothing. But that would all change for the poor housekeepers... Sometime later on Sunday, when housekeeping services did their usual rounds, they discovered what was like a scene from a horror movie! Sources claimed the shower was "full of blood," there was blood on the bed, and even the window was covered by bed sheets. Yikes. So disturbing... Nick only booked the room for one night, and he didn't formally check out. LAPD Robbery-Homicide detectives visited the hotel on Monday to gather evidence and interview employees. Nick was apprehended about 20 miles away from this hotel. So much still to figure out...
