The Human Rights Campaign is remembering one of their greatest allies, Rob Reiner. Following the tragic murders of Rob and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, the Facebook page for the HRC shared a short video highlighting some of the director's speeches he's given over the years, campaigning for equal rights for all. They captioned the post: "An unapologetic ally through and through. May you and Michele rest in power." Rob was especially outspoken when it came to legalizing gay marriage, and he was a huge catalyst in that campaign. He really did a LOT of work in helping the LGBT community. He said in one of the powerful clips attached in the post: "First of all, I'm representing the gay-adjacent community, and very proudly." You mean they actually didn't let people of the same sex marry? What was that about?' And now we're seeing the shift happen." In a third and final clip, the director said: "This is the last piece of the Civil Rights puzzle that needs to be put in place so that we can all realize the dream of our founding fathers. Which is, that we are all equal under the law." See the full post (below): Couldn't have said it better ourselves. Rest in power, Rob and Michele.
