John Nacion / Getty Images The incident is being treated as an apparent homicide, and their son, Nick Reiner, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Rob and Michele got married in 1989 and share three children together: 34-year-old Jake, 32-year-old Nick, and 28-year-old Romy. After Rob and Michele's deaths were confirmed, People published source claims alleging that Nick was responsible for the killings, and on Monday morning, reports surfaced that the 32-year-old had already been arrested and is the primary suspect. Now, as the world reacts to the devastating losses, we have a few updates about how things allegedly unfolded. Mediapunch / Getty Images On Saturday, Dec. 13, Rob, Michele, and Nick reportedly attended Conan O'Brien's holiday party in LA, where Rob and his son allegedly engaged in a "very loud argument." TMZ was the first to report this claim, which multiple sources have since corroborated to People. "Nick was freaking everyone out...kept asking people if they were famous," an insider told the outlet. Jim Spellman / Getty Images Nick has talked openly in the past about his struggles with addiction after first going to rehab around the time of his 15th birthday. In 2016, when he was 22, he told People that he experienced homelessness in numerous states because he did not want to go back to rehab. It was also in 2016 that Nick and his dad collaborated on the movie Being Charlie, which was inspired by Nick's experience with addiction. "That made me who I am now, having to deal with that stuff. I met crazy great people there, so out of my element. Now, I've been home for a really long time, and I've sort of gotten acclimated back to being in LA and being around my family. But there was a lot of dark years there." Michael Buckner / Getty Images Reports suggest that it was Rob and Michele's youngest child, Romy, who discovered her parents' bodies in their Brentwood home at around 3:40 p.m. on Sunday. Nick was not at the property at this time; according to ABC, investigators believe he left the house at some point after the stabbings took place. ABC also reports that authorities were "quickly" able to locate Nick near the campus of the University of Southern California, where he was arrested on suspicion of double murder at around 9:15 p.m. local time, nearly six hours after his parents' bodies were discovered. Online jail records previously stated that he was being held on $4 million bail; however, the LAPD later released a statement confirming that there is no bail.
