You know it's going to be a good week on Netflix when one of the streamer's most-anticipated movies of the year is also one of the best. Wake Up Dead Man has arrived and claimed the No. 1 slot on Netflix's movie list. That film is at the top of Watch With Us' picks for Netflix's three most popular movies that you need to watch right now. Our other picks for the week include an action thriller starring a very familiar face on Netflix, as well as a remake of a classic comedy. Knives Out's Star Toni Collette Teases 'Wake Up Dead Man' Is the 'Best' Yet 'Wake Up Dead Man' (2025) Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) loves a mystery, as seen in the first two Knives Out films. However, Wake Up Dead Man gives Benoit a run for his money with a textbook case of a locked door mystery. Father Jud Duplenticy (Josh O'Connor) witnesses the death of Msgr. Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin) during church service, and everyone is convinced he murdered his rival over their profound disagreement about what the church is meant to do. Wicks' devout flock is includes Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Daryl McCormack, Jeremy Renner, Thomas Haden Church, Cailee Spaeny and Andrew Scott. Any one of their characters could have done it, and they certainly have motive. Unfortunately for Father Jud, the facts of the case keep putting him in the spotlight as the most likely killer, and even the great Benoit Blanc may not have an alternative theory about who could have done it. Wake Up Dead Man is streaming on Netflix. 'Honest Thief' (2020) Well, if it isn't another obscure Liam Neeson action thriller that everyone's watching on Netflix. The actor currently has five of those on the streamer, not counting the action comedy reboot of The A-Team. Honest Thief isn't a comedy in any sense of the word, but you may get a few chuckles from the way that Neeson conducts his business as bank robber Tom Dolan. He's not just an honest thief; he's an exceptional one who has stolen millions of dollars from banks in a short period of time. 3 Netflix Movies I Can't Wait to Watch in December 2025: 'Knives Out 3' and More After meeting Annie Wilkins (Kate Walsh) and falling in love, Tom decides to cut a deal with the FBI and get a reduced sentence in exchange for his ill-gotten gains. Unfortunately for Tom, he vastly underestimated the greed of FBI agents John Nivens (Jai Courtney) and Ramon Hall (Anthony Ramos). They plan to keep all of Tom's money and frame him for murder. It's a terrible plan because it involves making Tom very angry, and you never want to get a Liam Neeson character mad. That's when he's at his most lethal. Honest Thief is streaming on Netflix. 'The Hustle' (2019) If you've seen the movie Dirty Rotten Scoundrels starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, then you've kind of seen The Hustle as well. This is a loose remake of the earlier film with Anne Hathaway as an experienced con artist, Josephine Chesterfield, and Rebel Wilson as a less experienced grifter, Penny Rust. Although the two women are initially at odds with one another, Penny is in genuine awe of Josephine's talent and she convinces her to collaborate on new cons while showing how to become better at their craft. All thoughts of partnership go out the window as the woman picks their next mark, Thomas Westerburg (Alex Sharp). There are no friends when the stakes are this high, and the cash payout is astronomical. The only thing Penny didn't expect was that she would actually come to have feelings for Thomas. And if she goes through with the con of a lifetime, then she may have to break her own heart. The Hustle is streaming on Netflix.
