Love Is Blind's Lydia Velez Gonzalez and Milton Johnson can't officially put the past behind them just yet. A source exclusively shares with Us Weekly that the reality stars are still in divorce mediation and going back and forth over a mix of belongings and money issues. "It has taken many months because with work and school being a priority, Milton delayed on his end," the insider adds. "But they are close to finalizing." Lydia and Milton first connected on season 5 of Love Is Blind, which aired in 2023. Love Is Blind's Lydia Claims Ex Milton Was 'Pursuing' Other Women Pre-Split While the pair formed an instant connection over rocks and geology - Lydia worked as a geologist while Milton was an engineer in the oil and energy industry, often working with rocks - things took a turn after the pair split. "They don't speak," the source revealed to Us. "All communication is through their lawyers. Once the divorce wraps up, they will happily never talk again." As for dating, the insider revealed neither party is interested at this time. Instead, both "are focused on finalizing the divorce, healing and closure." Us has reached out to Lydia and Milton's attorneys for comment. At the time, she shared with Love Is Blind alum and podcast host AD Smith that they were not in communication and described their relationship as "nonexistent." "It's been that way since March 31, the reason being [once] I asked for the divorce, he wanted an NDA," Lydia alleged. "After that, he told me ... [that I was] stupid and untrustworthy. ... I don't think he loves me because he has given me the silent treatment for the past month. If you truly love a person, you wouldn't do this [and] you will actually hold yourself accountable." (Us reached out to Milton for comment at the time.) In September, Milton responded to Lydia's divorce filing with his own counterclaim. 'Love Is Blind' Couples Status Check: Who Is Still Together? According to court documents obtained by Us, Milton claimed Lydia was "guilty of cruel treatment" toward him of a "nature that renders further living together insupportable." "The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between [Milton] and [Lydia] that destroys the legitimate end of the marriage relationship," his lawyer claimed, "and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation." Soon after, Lydia filed an amended petition for divorce. In court documents, Lydia alleged that Milton had committed "adultery." She also claimed Milton was also guilty of "cruel treatment," which made living together impossible. At the beginning of the year, season 7 star Ashley Adionser split from husband Tyler Francis after one year of marriage. Season 3 couple Alexa and Brennon Lemieux announced earlier in the month that they were splitting after four years of marriage. Season 9, which premiered on Netflix in October, also didn't feature any couples strong enough for marriage.
