Liam Neeson has made a career out of fast-paced action thrillers that have followed the Taken (2008) mould. So to watch him, excel in slapstick comedy that's just as physical as his action films, is an absolute delight. He carries forward Leslie Nielsen's legacy in the new The Naked Gun movie and does a fantastic job of pulling off the madcap, daffy comedy that made Police Squad (1982) and original Naked Gun movies so popular. The credit for how randomly hilarious The Naked Gun movie turns out must also go to director Akiva Schaffer and writers Dan Gregory and Doug Mand.
