Donald Trump has reacted to Rob Reiner's death, and it's a startling post... The President took to his Truth Social app on Monday hours after news of the director and his wife Michele's passing broke. As we've been covering, the When Harry Met Sally filmmaker and his wife were allegedly killed by their son, Nick, who has been arrested and charged with their murders. It's a horrific situation. But while mourning the loss, Donald used his platform to troll the director, who was an outspoken activist for the Democratic party! Donald wrote: "A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS." So far the only people saying the argument had anything to do with politics are Trump obsessed right wing social media users with zero connection to the case - or Hollywood at all, for that matter. The Celebrity Apprentice alum added: "He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!" WTF! This is a time to mourn and to fight for justice for this couple. Instead, the President of the United States is making it about himself! Ugh. As mentioned, The Princess Bride director was a longtime activist who championed many issues, including early childhood education and the legalization of same-sex marriage over the last few decades. He co-founded the American Foundation for Equal Rights, an org to overturn Proposition 8, an effort to ban same-sex marriage in 2008. Most recently, the 78-year-old was very outspoken against the Republican. Rob has called Trump a "criminal" because he "basically lies every minute of his life." In October, he expressed fears of the leader destroying democracy, noting on MSNBC: "The Hollywood community is very much aware of their First Amendment rights being impinged." Last year, he even produced a documentary called God and Country about the rise of Christian nationalism in the country, and its impacts on the democracy, highlighting issues like abortion rights that led to the US Capitol riots. So, he was very much AGAINST Trump - and the politician is clearly upset about that. But using someone's death - especially one as tragic and violent as this - as an opportunity to hate on them is disgusting. Trump would not have tolerated this behavior when it came to Charlie Kirk, who had polarizing political beliefs. Yet here he is encouraging it of someone who opposed him. Sigh.
