The streamer has hired Dani Dudeck, chief corporate affairs officer at grocery delivery app Instacart, to lead its PR efforts. She'll report directly to Netflix's co-CEO Ted Sarandos. "Dani Dudeck has worked with some of the world's fastest growing companies over the last two decades," Sarandos said in a statement. "Dani is known for building high-performing global teams and shaping narratives that meaningfully influence culture, business, and stakeholder trust and we are excited to be welcoming her to Netflix." She will start her new role at Netflix on Jan. 12, 2026. "I'm inspired by the vision and ambition that Ted, Greg, and the entire team bring to their work every day as they advance Netflix's mission of entertaining the world," Dudeck said in a statement of her own. "The teams at Netflix are among the hardest-working and most inventive in entertainment and technology, and - 28 years in - they're still expanding the boundaries of what's possible. I'm energized for what's ahead and look forward to joining the team next month." "Greg" there refers to Sarandos' counterpart, fellow co-CEO Greg Peters. Sarandos and Peters are overseeing a gigantic acquisition of Warner Bros.' studios and streaming businesses at the moment. It won't actually close for a while, and these hostile-takeover attempts by Paramount aren't exactly helping matters. Paramount chief David Ellison recently took his pitch - higher valuation, basically - directly to Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders. It's a real war of words out there. Ellison wants the whole company whereas Netflix is happy to see the Discovery portion - it's cable TV channels - spin off and go elsewhere. We're in for a pretty long fight on this one it seems, and Dudeck will do-deck her best to make the narrative surrounding Netflix positive. Of course, even when this deal is done (and no matter which way it works out) a chief communications officer's mission never really ends. Not even on weekends. For his part, Sarandos isn't sweating the Paramount play - not publicly, at least. "Today's move was entirely expected," Sarandos said last week. "We have a deal done, and we are really happy with the deal for shareholders, for consumers, it's a great way to create and protect jobs in the entertainment industry. We're super confident we are going to get it across." Soon, Sarandos will do much of his speaking through Dudeck.
