Sources told People that the couple's 28-year-old daughter Romy was the one to find them in their Brentwood, California home, and at about 3:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department was called to the house for medical aid. The LAFD confirmed they found a man and a woman dead on the scene. Capt. Mike Bland of the LAPD told AP that the Robbery Homicide Division is investigating an "apparent homicide." As sources told Perez Hilton on Sunday night, their son Nick, who has faced addiction issues that led to homelessness in his past, was in custody - and now that has escalated! According to TMZ on Monday, the 32-year-old son has officially been ARRESTED and is being held on a $4 million bail! Wow. Online records viewed by the outlet earlier on Monday showed the troubled son is in the custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Rob and Michele's throats were allegedly slit by said family member, possibly after an argument. Insiders told Perez Hilton a knife was used in the attack. The New York Post's sources said that the wounds to their throats were among many wounds on their bodies, and several other sources told People they believe Nick murdered his parents. Horrific. Police have not confirmed these details at this time. Rob was 78, and his wife was 68. The director was well-known for some iconic films, including The Princess Bride, Misery, and A Few Good Men. He was also an actor known for All in the Family, This Is Spinal Tap, The Wolf of Wall Street, and much more. Michele was a professional photographer and film producer. Along with Nick and Romy, they shared another son, Jake, and Rob also had an adopted daughter, Tracy, from a previous relationship. A truly heartbreaking loss. The Reiner family has addressed the devastating losses, saying in a statement obtained by Variety: "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner.
