Kaufman, who plays Steven Conklin on Prime Video's The Summer I Turned Pretty, has seen fans' comments about his look in season 3 and exclusively explained to Us Weekly exactly how it came to be. Kaufman explained that he was actually not the mastermind behind his long, curly bangs, but gave all the credit to showrunner Jenny Han - also the author of the beloved book series of the same name - who had a vision and ran with it.
