Erika Kirk (née Frantzve) initially really struggled to cope with her husband Charlie Kirk's death. "It took me months to even walk into my bedroom," Erika, 37, said during a Saturday, December 13, town hall on CBS News, revealing she was sleeping in her 3-year-old daughter's bed instead. "I can't sleep, I'm on my phone, and I start typing out [a speech]." Charlie was shot and killed at age 31 during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University in September. He is survived by Erika and the pair's two young children.
