Former Michigan head football coach Sherrone Moore is facing three charges after allegedly breaking into a university employee's home and threatening her. Moore, 39, was arraigned on Friday, December 12, two days after the university fired him for an alleged "inappropriate relationship" with the staffer. Hours after his dismissal, Moore was arrested near the staffer's home. He has been charged with one felony, third-degree home invasion, and two misdemeanor charges for stalking in a domestic relationship and breaking and entering. A judge granted him a $25,000 cash surety bond under the condition he not contact the victim and that he wear a GPS tether. A probable cause conference is set for January 22. The felony charge comes with a maximum of five years in prison and a $2,000 fine, while the stalking misdemeanor carries a maximum of one year, a $1,000 fine and five years probation. The breaking and entering charge comes with a maximum of 90 days in jail and a $500 fine, according to the Detroit Free Press. That adds up to a total maximum of six years, three months in prison and $3,500 worth of fines. Former NFL QB Mark Sanchez's Arrest and Upcoming Trial: Everything We Know Moore's arraignment also shed light on what allegedly happened on Wednesday afternoon when he is said to have confronted the unnamed victim. A prosecutor said that Moore took knives from a kitchen drawer and threatened to harm himself. "I'm going to kill myself," prosecutor Kati Rezmierski said Moore told the staff member. "I'm going to make you watch. My blood is on your hands. You ruined my life." When the victim threatened to call the police, Moore allegedly fled the residence and the Pittsfield Township Police Department arrested him at a nearby church. Rezmiersk also outlined the alleged timeline leading up to Moore's arrest, claiming he and the staffer had been in a relationship for "years" before she broke up with him on Monday, December 8. After that, Moore allegedly began sending her numerous unwanted text messages and phone calls. At the time, both parties denied having a personal relationship. On Wednesday, December 10, the same day Moore was fired, she changed her story. "Eventually she presented herself to the University of Michigan, cooperated in some form of investigation there," Rezmierski said. "As we all know now, [the] defendant was at some point on Wednesday afternoon fired from his employment." Us Weekly has reached out to Moore's attorney for comment. He spoke only to give his name and answer two questions from the judge with, "Yes, your honor." With the news of Moore's arrest quickly becoming a national story, University of Michigan president Domenico Grasso released a statement on Thursday, December 11, saying the university has "no tolerance" for Moore's alleged conduct. "I have been in close communication with the Board of Regents and we are united in committing to doing what is right," the statement read. "This breach of trust by Coach Moore is painful for many in our community, first and foremost, the individuals directly involved in this situation. Yet our swift and decisive action reflects the University's staunch commitment to a campus culture of respect, integrity and accountability."
