Agh! This is so concerning! Sources are opening up about Andy Dick's addiction issues and how those in his inner circle are enabling his troubling behavior. As we've been covering, the comedian shocked the world on Tuesday when he was recorded slumped over and unconscious after overdosing on crack he got from a stranger in LA. His friends helped revive him, and he has insisted he was merely "taking a nap" and refuses to go to rehab. Now, sources have claimed his struggles rely mostly on alcohol vs. drugs, with vodka being his favorite substance. Multiple sources, who have known the actor for years, told TMZ on Friday that Andy easily drinks more than a fifth of vodka a day, taking swigs from the second he wakes up until he falls asleep. Wow. And that's making it even easier for him to get so drunk. Still, sources said those around Andy do try their best to limit his consumption. Their strategy? Giving him just a water bottle cap's worth of vodka (about a shot) and filling the rest of the bottle with water, to dilute the alcohol. Insiders urged that his enablers do this to try to keep him stable without getting hammered too quickly. Damn. This sounds like a really rough situation. We hope he gets the help he needs.
