The Matlock drama is far from over! As we previously reported, David Del Rio was fired from the show after his co-star, Leah Lewis, accused him of sexually assaulting her in her trailer on Paramount property back in October. His character, Billy Martinez, was written off the show afterward. David vehemently denied the allegations, while his wife left a seriously nasty message for Leah online. He also hired high-powered attorney Shawn Holley, but no formal lawsuit has been filed against Leah or CBS yet. Now, there is an update! Related: Why Demi Engemann May Be Leaving Mormon Wives! Multiple sources close to David claimed to TMZ on Thursday that CBS reopened its investigation. Whoa! The insiders claimed the studio did it before Thanksgiving, and they interviewed several parties, including David and his lawyer. What is going on here? There are not many details while the investigation is still ongoing. CBS also declined to comment on a legal matter. Regardless, another inside source stressed to TMZ that David's character won't be in future episodes of Matlock, and the series is back in production after a pre-planned hiatus. We'll see what comes out of this latest investigation into the situation, but it's certainly an interesting development. What are your reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments!
