In the caption, the 61-year-old wrote, "Sources report seeing my sister in the area of the hospital dad is in. Could she be living up to all of that paid PR?" _ Samantha Markle continued her online attack in a follow-up post, writing of half-sister Meghan Markle, "If she is smart and at all humane, she will find a way to help dad in his rehabilitation, especially since, reportedly, one of the companies she and [Prince] Harry donated to manufactures prosthetics. You can lead a horse to water." _ Following much confusion over whether Meghan Markle contacted Thomas Markle after part of his leg was amputated, a spokesperson confirmed to People that the Suits star was able to get a letter to her dad. "With the support of reliable and trusted contacts, her correspondence is now safely in his hands," the representative said. _ Meghan Markle and Thomas Markle have been estranged since 2018 when he sold stories about her to the press in the lead-up to her wedding. After the news broke that the 81-year-old underwent life-threatening surgery, the Netflix star's camp claimed she reached out to him. But Thomas claimed he hadn't heard from her. _ Thomas Markle opened up to journalist Caroline Graham about wanting to reunite with Meghan Markle. "I've always said I am open to reconciling with my daughter. I have never stopped loving her. I don't want to die estranged from Meghan. I want to meet my [two] grandkids. It might be nice to meet her husband, too," he told Mail on Sunday. _ Meghan Markle's relationship with Samantha Markle has long been fraught. Samantha tried to sue her younger half-sibling over remarks Meghan made in the 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan and in her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. The suit was later dismissed.
