And in a new interview, Hilaria discussed the complex topic of protecting your children's privacy as a public figure. Bryan Bedder / Getty Images To provide some context for the conversation, there are an increasing number of celebrities who choose not to post photos of their children's faces and have fought against news outlets publishing unauthorized images of their kids online. Take Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, George and Amal Clooney, and Justin and Hailey Bieber, for example. Theo Wargo / Getty Images Comparatively, there are lots of other super famous people who feel more comfortable with the world seeing their kids' faces - and it seems that Hilaria and Alec fall into this category. View this photo on Instagram Instagram: @undefined "The business is changing, and I just started Instagramming them. It went from tons of people trying to get this photo to, I put it on there, and I'm not gonna get chased around as much," she said. "What I learned from somebody who is much more famous than me, is that the more you put the photos up, the lower the bounty is and the less harassment you get." Nick Viall / Via youtu.be Emphasizing that there is obviously "no right answer" here, Hilaria recalled that when she made more of an effort to hide her children's faces, it only increased the demand for paparazzi pictures - which is why she decided to sell photos of her first few children to tabloids back in the 2010s. "I sold the first photos of the first few kids... And I donated all the money to charity, because it felt like a gross thing anyway." Nick Viall / Via youtu.be When quizzed on how much money she made, Hilaria was willing to disclose, before elaborating on why it was an important and "meaningful" move. View this photo on Instagram Instagram: @undefined "Our first child was $95,000. It felt meaningful. I donated it to an organization in Mallorca, where my family lives, for children who have been sexually abused," she explained. "I wanted to say, 'OK, here's a system: Someone's going to make money off of this, whether it's somebody who's chasing me down the street, or this [where an outlet buys the photo].' There's money to be had, and I'm going to put that in a good place." Nick Viall / Via youtu.be I totally see the logic, but what do you make of this? LMK in the comments!
