All eight episodes of the Peacock project's second season are set to premiere on the NBCUniversal-owned streamer on March 5, 2026. The first stills from the new batch of episodes can be seen above and below. MacFarlane voices the hedonistic, anthropomorphic teddy bear in the series that serves as a prequel to Universal's 2012 comedy film of the same name and its 2015 sequel. This season of the family-focused comedy is set in 1994 and features John (Max Burkholder), the 17-year-old version of the character Mark Wahlberg plays in the movies, teaming up with his beloved stuffed animal as they gear up for senior year. Rounding out the show's cast as John's kin are Scott Grimes, Alanna Ubach and Giorgia Whigham. Courtesy of Peacock During a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter timed to the release of the first season, MacFarlane said he felt proud that the live-action series was as "comedically fulfilling" as the Ted movies. "We really tried to pack them in the same way that we did the films," MacFarlane said about the first season's episodes. "You can't send a car through a barn with a television budget like we did in Ted 2. But as far as the interaction of the characters and the situations, we really did try to keep this up to the level, certainly, of the first movie."
