Kristin Cavallari is getting candid about her dating life - and whether or not she's seeing someone new. On the Tuesday, December 9, episode of her "Let's Be Honest" podcast, Cavallari, 38, revealed that she is dating a guy in Los Angeles when asked by someone what to do when a guy "will ask to hang out and plan dates, but he also goes a whole week without reaching out." "This guy in L.A. that I am dating, he's in L.A., I'm in Nashville and he's busy, I'm busy," The Hills alum shared. "We do not really have a texting relationship. There is a text once in a blue moon and there'll be a little back and forth, but not." Cavallari said that the man will "sometimes" call her, however, there are sometimes weeks where she "won't hear from him." Everything Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler Have Said About Dating Post-Split "And by the way, I'm not reaching out to him either because life is busy and I think we wanna date someone who has something going on, who is busy, where they actually can't text you all day and they can't call you every day," she explained. "And I just think, especially if you have kids, it's busy. I can't talk to someone all day." The reality star went on to say that before, when she "wasn't hearing from someone consistently," it would "trigger" her "old wounds" and "patterns" - but now she is "over that phase." "I've moved into this phase of 'I like when I hear from this guy, but I'm not thinking about him all day long,'" she said. Cavallari was previously married to Jay Cutler from 2013 until their split in April 2020. The pair share kids Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9. "With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce," Cavallari captioned a photo of the former couple via Instagram. "We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family." Kristin Cavallari: I've Been Approached by Many 'Married Men' Post-Divorce Following their messy divorce, Cavallari was linked to comedian Jeff Dye, country singer Chase Rice, model Mark Estes, NHL star Nate Thompson and Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy. After her divorce with Cutler, 52, was finalized in 2022, Cavallari said she had grown a lot since their breakup. There were a lot of things that I went through in the last five years," she exclusively told Us Weekly in June while promoting her docuseries, Honestly Cavallari: The Podcast Tour, adding that "getting a divorce" and "cutting [her] dad" out of her life were some of the changes. "Finally, I think growing up and realizing that when I had done previously wasn't working for me and I needed to figure out what needed to change in order to set up the second half of my life to be really peaceful [helped]." Cavallari shared that her "whole life was never peaceful" - even while growing up. "Even in my childhood, it was always chaotic and I really value peace and stillness and quiet now, and I've worked really hard to get there," she explained to Us. "My overall life is very peaceful and very normal, and I'm really proud of that and I'm really happy that I went through the hard times because I came out the other side stronger and way more in tune with who I am and way more comfortable in my skin."
