Mama June Shannon began a recent tribute to her late daughter, Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell, with a fiery message to haters. "OK, guys, as y'all may or may not know, today is the second anniversary that Anna has not been with us," Shannon, 46, said in an Instagram video on Tuesday, December 9. "And I'm gonna tell y'all right now ... f*** you, because let me tell you, just because I'm not on here boo-hooing doesn't mean I don't have bad days. Don't mean I'm not a f***ing emotional wreck half the damn time. Losing a child, you have an up and down skill." Cardwell, who was the eldest of Shannon's four daughters, died at age 29 on December 9, 2023, after a battle with stage IV adrenal carcinoma, a rare form of cancer that had spread to her lung, liver and kidney. She is survived by June; her sisters Jessica "Chubbs" Shannon, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon and Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson; and husband Eldridge Toney. Anna was also the mom of daughter Kaitlyn, 12, from a previous relationship, and Kylee, 9, whom she shared with ex-husband Michael Cardwell. Katilyn lives with June in Georgia after a custody battle with Michael in 2024, while Kylee lives with her father in Alabama. Mama June Honors Late Daughter Anna Cardwell on Her 30th Birthday June continued her tribute on Tuesday by encouraging fans to "show love" to Anna's social media pages and keep them "alive" by sharing their favorite memories of her daughter. She also admitted that she is unable to watch "any cooking show whatsoever" today because Anna only wanted to watch these shows in the months leading up to her death. Next, June recalled a family vacation to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, "towards probably the end" of Cardwell's life. Though many people were "against" the trip, June said she was adamant about having one last adventure with her daughter. "I don't give a s*** if Anna even passed away in that car. I was going to Pigeon Forge, and that may sound f***ed up on my part, but we had so much fun there and made so many memories," she continued. "Today, I want you to keep Kylee in your thoughts," June added. "Guys, it has been a rough time, not just for Kaitlyn, for Kylee. Kaitlyn's at school today. I'm sure Kylee's at school today. You know, they had to go, get up and go to school and think about, 'I don't have my mama here today.'" Mama June Shannon Still Keeps Late Daughter Anna in Family Group Chat June said she was struggling with the thought that Anna would not be there to attend her daughters' graduations. "That, I think, bothers me the most," she continued. June later added, "Losing a child has been one of the hardest things that I've ever went through, ever in my whole, entire f***ing life, even outside of drug addiction. ... And again, you can't tell somebody how to feel each and every day and each and every moment, because I'm gonna tell you today, I didn't want to get out of the f***ing bed. ... But it was what it was."
