Love Is Blind couple Alexa Lemieux and Brennon Lemieux's divorce reminded fellow show alums Deepti Vempati and Natalie Lee about the immense pressure many cast members face to make the experiment a success. "I don't think [their breakup] means their relationship was a mistake 'cause they have a beautiful daughter out of it," season 2 alum Natalie, 33, said on the Wednesday, December 10, episode of her and Deepti's "Out of the Pods" podcast. "It does make me think about the show. I can't even imagine the pressure they're in, thinking, 'Oh my God, we were made to be this really amazing couple and now we have to announce this.'" Alexa, 31, and Brennon, 35, got married in 2021 after appearing on season 3 of Love Is Blind. They announced their separation earlier this month, agreeing to coparent daughter Vienna. Us Weekly subsequently confirmed that Brennon filed for divorce in November over "conflict of personalities." While both Alexa and Brennon have remained mum about what led to their divorce, Deepti, 34, theorized that their split might have been similar to her own post-show breakup. Love Is Blind's Mallory Zapata Reveals Engagement "I think back to my tiny, tiny, little stint with Kyle and the amount of pressure I felt for it working out," she said. "Or being, like, 'I am worthy of this love-type of situation.' It made me put my blinders on to a lot of red flags that were happening in our situation." Deepti appeared on season 2 of the Netflix reality TV show, where she called off her engagement to Shake Chatterjee at the altar. She later dated Kyle Abrams from the season when the show wrapped. Their relationship ultimately fizzled out within a few months. (Kyle, now 33, was briefly engaged to Shaina Hurley on the show, who ended their engagement at the start of the cast's Mexico trip over religious differences.) "The show does have this way of creating pressure around staying together or, like, it's harder to leave because you know you have a community of people who [are] rooting for you," Deepti explained on Wednesday. "I'm just really happy that [Alexa and Brenon are] able to live in their truth and do what's best for them." As for Deepti, she and Kyle decided that they were better off as friends. "I have met [his girlfriend] before and she's very sweet, and I just want the best for him." According to Deepti, she had "an amazing time" with Kyle but they struggled with communication. "I think we didn't really communicate as much as we needed to about our love languages [and] what we're expecting out of life," Deepti told Us. "There was so much pressure on us and I think it really impacted our relationship. We're just trying to navigate this new life. It's been tough to lose my best friend, but you know, it is what it is." Kyle and Tania announced their engagement one year later in April 2023.
