Despite Lily reluctantly agreeing that he could have sex with other women as long as they were strangers, she was left devastated when she learned that he'd been having fully-fledged affairs behind her back. Then, earlier this month, Lily announced that she will also be touring West End Girl in the US, and she couldn't resist taking a brutal swipe at David as the tickets quickly sold out across the states, too. Lily previously admitted that the passionate response that fans have had toward her album has helped to validate the pain that she was feeling at the time, telling CBS Mornings that she'd actually had the 10 days of studio time booked for November 2024 before her marriage fell apart, and that she wrote the songs without knowing if she'd ever share them with the world.
