Police in Arkansas claim a woman and her two kids were found dead after they were fatally shot just one day after she attended her final divorce hearing. Sebastian County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a call on Wednesday, December 3 around 9:30 a.m. for a welfare check at a home in Bonanza, Arkansas, according to a news release shared by the department the following day. No one initially answered the door when police arrived. However, two workers at the property were able to let the authorities inside and they found the bodies of Charity Beallis and her two young children, according to the release. All three family members were dead upon arrival and were found with visible gunshot wounds. The children were not identified in the release, though online court documents in the divorce case listed both children as being born in 2019 and they are believed to be around 6 years old. The news release also noted that autopsies would be conducted in order to determine the official causes of deaths for Beallis and her children. "Search warrants have been written and executed with more search warrants anticipated during the investigation. Interviews have taken place with more anticipated," the sheriff's office added in the release, while acknowledging that more information "is still being gathered" as part of their ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made and no comments about potential suspects were shared in the press release. The Sebastian County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to Us Weekly's request for comment Monday. Beallis was found dead just 10 months after she filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Dr. Randall Beallis, on March 5, 2025, according to online court records viewed by Us Weekly. The former couple attended their final divorce hearing on Tuesday, December 2, at the Sebastian County Courthouse in Fort Smith, according to 5News. Beallis asked for full custody of her two children in a filing in March, viewed by Us Weekly. She also requested a protective order for herself and the children due to the fact that her estranged husband had previously been arrested and charged with domestic violence. He pleaded guilty to battery in October and received a one-year suspended sentence and was ordered to pay $1,500 in fines. Additionally, a judge barred Randall from having any contact with his estranged wife or any of her other family members, unless it was authorized by a valid court order. Her husband has practiced family medicine for more than 30 years. She went on to claim that she "tried to reach Prosecuting Attorney Daniel Shue, but he won't even accept a letter from me."
