Tom Williams / Getty Images After publicly apologizing on CNN a few weeks ago for taking part in the "toxic politics," the US representative, who recently announced her resignation in November, which will take effect in January, made an appearance on CBS's 60 Minutes last night to discuss her reasons for ending her term a year early as well as her private discussions she's had with President Donald Trump - and let's just say things went a little sideways. 60 Minutes / Via youtube.com In the midst of the interview with journalist Lesley Stahl, an argument unfolded: Marjorie Taylor began saying, "It's the most toxic political culture, and it's not helping the American people." 60 Minutes / Via youtube.com BuzzFeed TrendingHot TopicLet's chat about all things PoliticsSee our Politics Discussions Lesley then cuts in and says, "But you contributed to that. You, you, you were out there pounding, insulting people." 60 Minutes / Via youtube.com Marjorie Taylor then rebuts: "Lesley, you've contributed to it as well with your own program." 60 Minutes / Via youtube.com "Me?" Lesley says, appearing shocked. "Yes," Marjorie Taylor responds. "You're accusatory, just like you did just then." 60 Minutes / Via youtube.com After a few seconds of each of them claiming they are "accusing" one another, with Marjorie Taylor adding that, "But we don't have to accuse one another," Lesley brings focus back to the original discussion by beginning to say, "I want you to respond to what you have done in terms of insulting people, yelling at people, and then saying..." However, Lesley couldn't finish her statement as Marjorie Taylor cut her off by saying, "I'd like you to respond for that. No, you can respond to that." 60 Minutes / Via youtube.com While Lesley claimed that she didn't insult people, Marjorie Taylor stated that Lesley did by the way she questioned and the way she accused her in the interview. 60 Minutes / Via youtube.com If you might have forgotten how Marjorie Taylor used to act, let's stroll down MTG memory lane, shall we? Jim Watson / Getty Images Remember back in June when she posted a racist AI tweet? Or when she was yelling "Liar" during President Joe Biden's State of the Union speech. Finally, when she told a British reporter to "go back to your country." After this interview was posted on Twitter (now known as X), people started calling out Marjorie Taylor because they had definitely not forgotten. For instance, one person said, "Anyone who's deluded themselves into believing Marge has 'changed' is a fucking fool." x / Via x.com Another person said, "She's not sorry at all. She just doesn't like being treated the way she treats everyone else." x / Via x.com While someone else called her out for still not taking full responsibility: "This is why we shouldn't think that MTG is now a good person. She still refuses to take responsibility for her actions & only cares about herself. It wasn't until she was the victim of the vitriol that she sowed that she decided to retire, once she had a gov pension & benefits." x / Via x.com See below for the full interview and make sure to leave any thoughts you have in the comments below: View this video on YouTube 60 Minutes / Via youtube.com
