The auction's 10th anniversary for Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo also extended Phillips Watches' streak to five consecutive years of 100 percent-sold "white glove" live auctions in New York. Coppola's one-of-a-kind F.P. Journe FFC Prototype led the auction, selling for $10.8 million to an anonymous bidder on the phone. The sale marked a new world auction record for F.P. Journe and a new record for a watch by an independent watchmaker.
