Akhanda 2, one of the most awaited films of the year, faced an unexpected roadblock when its release was halted at the last minute on December 4, 2025. The delay came after Eros International filed a legal suit against Akhanda 2 producers, claiming that dues of nearly Rs 28 crore from an earlier arbitral agreement were still unpaid. The court prevented the film from hitting theatres on December 5, 2025.
