[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content] The family of the college student found dead doesn't care what the police are saying. They still don't believe she died by suicide. As we previously reported, 19-year-old Texas A&M student Brianna Aguilera was found dead outside an apartment building early on Saturday, November 29, hours after attending a tailgate for the school's football game against the University of Texas. Cops claim the teen lost her phone earlier that day, and she borrowed a friend's to call her boyfriend around 12:43 a.m. The conversation only lasted about a minute, and police say she jumped from the 17th floor and died. Heartbreaking. Her mom, Stephanie Rodriguez, called the cops after she couldn't get in contact with her daughter on Friday night. Sadly, Brianna was found dead at around 1 a.m. the next day. The mother told People that authorities immediately informed her they believed the teenager died by suicide. However, she doesn't buy it, arguing she "wasn't suicidal" and was excited about her future law career. Stephanie also claimed to KSAT that she is convinced someone knows what happened to Brianna, as there were 15 people in the apartment building at the time. She further alleged "there are a lot of inconsistencies with the story," and that her daughter had "a fight" with another girl before she died. But unfortunately, the Austin Police Department pretty much closed the book on Brianna's death, insisting it was a suicide. During a press conference on Thursday, Sgt. Nathan Sexton said that "all evidence in this case is indicative of suicide," citing that they discovered a deleted suicide note on her phone written several days before her passing. Det. Robert Marshall, lead homicide detective, added that Brianna also "made suicidal comments" before: "Between all of the witness statements, all of the video evidence, all of the digital evidence collected, at no time, did any evidence point to this being anything of a criminal nature. Rather, our investigation revealed that, unfortunately, Brianna had made suicidal comments previously to friends back in October of this year. This continued through the evening of her death with some self-harming actions earlier in the evening and a text message to another friend indicating the thought of suicide." The Aguilera family still doesn't agree, though! In fact, they think law enforcement botched the whole investigation! Their attorney, Tony Buzbee, told TMZ on Friday that they truly believe something nefarious happened to Brianna, adding: "The Austin Police screwed things up royally." The lawyer insisted there is no credible evidence to back up the suicide claim. Instead, he suggested Austin police didn't conduct a thorough enough investigation and simply jumped to a conclusion. According to The New York Post, Buzbee held a press conference on Friday, where he claimed two witnesses who were in the area heard fighting and a chilling cry right before her death. The attorney said there was a man down the street from the apartment where Brianna died, adding: "[He heard], "Get off of me!" - and screaming, and then a muffled cry between 12:30 and 1 a.m. next to the apartment." "Get off of me." OMG. That is also around the time Brianna died. Buzbee then said a second witness across the hall also heard a troubling commotion: "Another witness could hear running back and forth and screaming." Whoa. Did police interview these two? Apparently, not. Buzbee said the cops did not talk to either of the witnesses and instead jumped to the conclusion that Brianna died by suicide. The biggest piece of evidence the police have for that claim is the suicide note they found on her phone - but Buzbee alleged it was actually an essay she penned four days before her death. Huh?! He continued: "[The lead investigator] sees an essay on her phone and he calls it a suicide note. She wrote an essay on the 25th that she deleted - and then she goes and kills herself four days later? It's really ridiculous. It's total baloney that they're trying to sell you." Ultimately, Buzbee pointed out that it is the medical examiner's job to determine the official cause of death - not the cops: "They are lazy and incompetent." Because of all this, it sounds like Buzbee and the family aren't giving up and pushing for an investigation. Stephanie insisted once again in the same press conference on Friday that Brianna was not suicidal, calling for the Austin Police to reopen the case: "I can deal with you (Austin Police Department) being annoyed each time I called or tried to talk to you. I can deal with how arrogantly you talk down to us each time we talked. I can deal with you telling my daughter's friends not to talk to me like I am some sort of criminal. But I cannot deal with you doing a news conference and saying false things ab
