As a mom of four, Chrissy Teigen seems to be well-versed in childhood accidents. In a new photo shared via Instagram Stories, the model, 40, held her daughter Esti, 2, as plastic surgeon Dr. Ariel Ourian stitched up her chin after an apparent accident at home. "Hesitant to share this because he will get too busy to give my kids their daily stitches, but @drourian, thank you so much for always saving us," Teigen wrote over the picture. "The traumas for a kid and parent both! We love you so much." Teigen had her eyes closed in the photo as her friends and Ourian kept Esti calm. In 2022, a then 4-year-old Miles got his first set of stitches on his forehead. "Well I had always predicted a broken arm first but stitches inched in as Miles' first official accident," Teigen shared via Instagram over a photo of her son with a bandage on his head. "These two are keeping it exciting these days. I've also never seen such competitive human beings in my life. I swear we are keeping both of them but they act like we are fixin to ditch one," she wrote via Instagram alongside photos of her two oldest children. A month later, Teigen shared that Miles accidentally knocked Luna's tooth out while the two were playing. At the time, she uploaded a video of them excitedly running around inside in their bathing suits, as Miles proudly shouted: "I got Luna's tooth out. I knocked her mouth, and it just came out." "You hit her mouth, and it came out?" Teigen asked her son before Luna clarified that "he accidentally did it" before handing over the tooth and flashing a big smile to the camera. Chrissy Teigen Snuggles Up With John Legend and Kids Amid Her Birthday Teigen and Legend, 46, have also had to navigate health issues with Miles as he battles Type 1 diabetes. "It just kind of blew us away," Teigen told the "Motherly" podcast in August of the diagnosis. "I started Googling like, 'What symptoms would it have? Did we miss something?' There was nothing. Then we were just thrown into this whirlwind of having to learn everything all at once. You don't get to plan for it. You are doing shots that same day." Teigen added of her oldest son: "He's just been so great about wanting to be the boss of it himself. He likes being able to enter in the carbs on his own phone. He'll look at me and be like, 'The insulin's going in now. I can feel it.' He's such a part of it now." As for being the mom of four children, Teigen said she's learned to embrace, and love, the chaos. "It's taught me that you really can love - your heart has room for so many different beings," she said on the podcast. "And one of the best things it's taught me is to really embrace imperfection. When I first became a mother, little spills on the carpet, that kind of stuff drove me insane. But I really have grown into loving living in a lived-in house and a house that feels not so perfect. You get to let your kids be kids."
