The Critics Choice Association is ready to celebrate the very best of film and TV in the past year. On Friday, December 5, the nominees for the 2026 Critics Choice Awards were announced, with Sinners leading the film contenders with 17 nominations. Ryan Coogler's vampire movie earned nods in major categories, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. As for TV, the psychological crime drama Adolescence earned six nominations, including Best Limited Series. 2025 Critics' Choice Red Carpet Fashion: From Demi More to Angelina Jolie "We are so excited to kick off awards season in the new year, gathering hundreds of TV, film and streaming stars in one glamorous room for the first major awards show of 2026," Critics Choice Association CEO Joey Berlin said in a statement on Friday. "Our voters are the critics and entertainment reporters who help audiences find the best of the best every day, all year long.
