I also share what's all over my FYP, which is more Heated Rivalry, whoops, but also spoiler-filled reactions to Stranger Things. There's also what we've got going on over on BuzzFeed Celeb's YouTube channel, and I share my top four new movies of 2025. So, let's get started! And if you're saying, "Hey! I love all of that stuff," then you can get Screen Time delivered directly to your inbox by subscribing here! Here's what the newsletter is covering this week: BuzzFeed Heated Rivalry - watch for: The sexiest and steamiest TV show of the year Sabrina Lantos / HBO Max / Crave Streaming on HBO Max and Crave; new episodes every FridayAnd the winner of sexiest TV show of the year?! It's Heated Rivalry. No questions. Based on Rachel Reid's Game Changers series, this Canadian TV show started airing last week and has quickly become THE show you need to be watching right now. Heated Rivalry follows Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams), a Canadian ice hockey player and captain of the Montreal Metros. And, for as long as his hockey career has been in the spotlight, so has his rivalry with Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), a Russian ice hockey player and the captain of the Boston Raiders. Their rivalry has captured the attention of every sports fan, but what they don't know is that Hollander and Rozanov are having a secret affair. It's giving enemies to lovers. It's giving hidden romance. It's giving every single romance trope I eat up, and more. Williams and Storrie have electric chemistry, and the show does not shy away from using it. I devoured the first episodes and will be eagerly awaiting more. In the words of Williams, "Come for the hot sex and stay for the warm love." All Her Fault - watch for: One of the most addictive mysteries of the year Peacock Streaming on PeacockIf there's one place you'll always find me, it's supporting my queen, Sarah Snook. So, add in Dakota Fanning and a genuinely great mystery, and I am so hooked it's not even funny. Based on the book of the same name, All Her Fault follows Marissa (Snook), who drops her son Milo off for his first playdate. However, when she returns to the house to pick him up, the woman who answers the door isn't the mother Marissa recognized from before. This woman doesn't have Milo and has never even heard of him. Listen, I'm not saying this is the next great award-winning series, but it's exactly what I want from a mystery TV show: a compelling story that has me on the edge of my seat with so many twists and turns that I could not stop binge-watching it. Plus, like I said, Snook and Fanning are a perfect duo together for a show like this. BuzzFeed If there's one thing I love, it's a teen TV show where the actors have absolutely bonkers chemistry. So, enter Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten as James Beaufort and Ruby Bell in Maxton Hall. Their chemistry is electric together onscreen, so we put their friendship to the test to see how well they actually know each other offscreen with our costar test. Do they know each other's birthdays? How about their childhood celebrity crushes? Heck, after all those scenes looking into each other's eyes, do they know each other's eye colors? MORE: My TikTok has been consumed by Heated Rivalry fan edits. It's actually what got me to start the show. Fan edits make the world go round. They get me to journey into new fandoms I never would've known about, especially when it centers on two actors with absolutely bonkers chemistry (which seems to be a recurring theme in this week's Screen Time). So, yes, Heated Rivalry joins the list of fan edits that I think should be eligible to be nominated for Oscars: @honeymnfx / TikTok / HBO Max / Crave / Via tiktok.com You can watch this edit by clicking HERE. It's been over a week since four new episodes of Stranger Things dropped, so I'm going to give myself permission to get spoilery as heck for a second. I've once again reentered my Stranger Things hyperfixation, and so my feed is filled with reactions to the beginning of the final season. So, here are some of my personal favorites.
