Prior to Buffy, Sarah had already made a name for herself on TV with roles on Swans Crossing and All My Children. Thanks to Buffy, she catapulted into pop-culture-icon status, landing roles in films like I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, Cruel Intentions, and Scooby-Doo during the show's run. (She even cameoed on Sex and the City in a standout 2000 episode.) Sarah Michelle Gellar now: Paul Archuleta / Getty Images Since Buffy ended, Sarah has starred on shows like Ringer, The Crazy Ones, Wolf Pack, and Dexter: Original Sin, as well as films like Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed and The Grudge. Alyson Hannigan now: Alberto E. Rodriguez / Getty Images After Buffy, she landed the role of Lily Aldrin on How I Met Your Mother, playing the role for nine seasons between 2005 and 2014. Alyson also wowed America with her ballroom moves by coming in fifth place on season 32 of Dancing with the Stars in 2023. Charisma Carpenter as Cordelia Chase, Buffy's high school frenemy: Getty Images / Getty Images Carpenter was a standout as the most popular girl at Sunnydale High â€" so much so that she left Buffy after season 3 to star on the spin-off series Angel. Savenok / Getty Images Charisma went on to star in films like The Expendables and The Expendables 2, as well as other TV shows, including Veronica Mars and The Lying Game. She even put her hosting chops to the test on Surviving Evil. Anthony Stewart Head as Rupert Giles, Buffy's mentor (a role called a Watcher) and school librarian. Seth Green as Daniel "Oz" Osbourne, Willow's high school boyfriend who learns he's a werewolf: Hulu Seth was an established actor before making us howl at the moon on Buffy, having starred in films like Radio Days, Can't Buy Me Love, Big Business, and the Austin Powers franchise, as well as various TV roles. He even appeared in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie that preceded the show.
