Rebecca Gayheart stepped out with billionaire Peter Morton for a PDA-packed date night on Wednesday, December 3. Gayheart, 54, and Morton, 78, were spotted kissing in Los Angeles in photos obtained by Daily Mail. In another set of images, they walked arm in arm down a street. Gayheart, who was first spotted with the Hard Rock Café cofounder in 2023, has been separated from estranged husband Eric Dane since 2018. "We've been separated for eight years. The kids live with me 100 percent of the time. There's been lots of other stuff," Gayheart said on the "Broad Ideas" podcast last month, referring to daughters Billie and Georgia. "I try to stay optimistic, though, about it all. I'm trying to learn from it and [be a] role model for them [for] how to go through something like this, which is really hard." I'm showing up, and I'm trying to be there for them. I guess time will tell." The Jawbreaker actress filed to dismiss her divorce petition earlier this year after Dane, 53, confirmed he was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. "He is our family," Gayheart told podcast host Rachel Bilson in November, referencing Dane. "We show up, and we try to do it with some dignity and some grace and just get through it." While discussing her new normal on the podcast, Gayheart detailed how she is coping with Dane's health battle. "I am definitely experiencing growth as a person, as a human being. It's all very humbling," she said. "I think one piece of this that I hope I'm passing to my kids is the idea that you can show up for someone and be there for them, but you also have to show up for yourself." You never know what you're gonna get, and we should treat today as a really special day. This isn't a dress rehearsal." Gayheart further stressed that her main priority is allowing her kids "the opportunity to spend time" with their father. "[I don't want them to] don't ever look back and go, 'I wish I would have spent some time with my dad,'" Gayheart said. "I really want to make sure I can help facilitate that stuff for them, which is what I'm doing. I know it's super complicated right now, for so many reasons. "Obviously, I have a family at home and they're the first priority," the Euphoria star said during a virtual panel discussion for I AM ALS earlier this month. "But, this is such a big deal to me to make sure that people are aware of what ALS is and what it's about and, more importantly, what we can do to combat it and improve the landscape." Dane stressed that he has tried to remain in good spirits despite his ALS diagnosis. "It's encouraging for me to know that I actually can have a buoyant spirit in the face of something so horrible," he said.
