Weezer bassist Scott Shriner's wife, Jillian Lauren, was arrested in April 2025 following a police shooting. According to a Los Angeles Police Department statement, Lauren was arrested on April 9, 2025, for felony attempted murder after allegedly firing a handgun at an LAPD officer. The couple have been married since 2005, four years before they adopted son Tariku Moon in 2009. Jillian and Scott later adopted son Jovanni "Jovi" Starshine in 2016. Five weeks before her arrest, Lauren also had surgery for an undisclosed form of cancer.
