The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby's son, Robert Cosby Jr., pleaded guilty to trespassing and assault months after several incidents involving his estranged wife, Alexandria Cosby, and her father, Us Weekly can report. On November 25, Robert pleaded guilty to assault, trespassing and violating a protective order, according to court documents obtained by Us. People reported that several other charges filed against Robert were dropped. The judge denied Robert's request to be released from custody. He will remain behind bars until his sentencing in February. Robert was arrested following an incident involving his wife, identified as A.S. in the paperwork, on September 5. Court docs note Robert, 22, and A.S. are separated. A.S. is currently living with her parents, and Robert lives at a different address. Mary Cosby Claims Lisa Barlow Didn't Reach Out After Robert Jr. Scene The police said Robert entered the home and refused to leave. The report reads, "The arrested person has previously been notified by both his wife and the owner of the home that he was not welcome at the residence; both individuals showed me text message conversations which indicated he was not allowed in the home, which the arrested person had responded to in acknowledgment." The report said Robert came to the home and entered the backyard through a gate that was shut and latched. He then entered the home through a dog door and went into his wife's bedroom, "causing her to fear for her safety, where he remained despite him being asked to leave by both his wife and his wife's father." An officer said Robert admitted that he had been told he was not allowed to be at the home and that he entered the home through the dog door. The report said, "As the arrested person entered into a dwelling despite being told he was not welcome in the residence and remained inside of said dwelling which caused his wife to fear for her safety, he was placed under arrest for criminal trespass of a dwelling, with a domestic violence enhancement. However, officers said he sent her two text messages on September 6 and five messages on September 7. Later on September 7, Robert showed up at his estranged wife's home for a second time. Court documents reveal officers from the Taylorsville City Police Department in Utah were dispatched over an alleged domestic violence incident. The caller said Robert was attempting to break into the home of his father-in-law, identified as S.S., and was S.S. in the front yard of the home. The officer arrived at the scene where S.S. identified Robert. The officer said he told Robert to "Stop" and "Get on the ground," but he failed to comply. Eventually, Robert complied and was placed into custody. The witness said she called for S.S., which caused Robert to back out of the dog door and run to the front yard. The witness said that S.S. confronted Robert, and Robert threw "multiple punches at him." S.S. told police that Robert punched him multiple times. The report noted S.S. had "red marks on both ears, a laceration on his left ear and red marks on his torso." An officer said they found Robert had sent text messages to his wife, listed as A.S., who was living with S.S. Robert's wife was present when the incident occurred. Court records show Robert was booked into jail on September 9. Robert's lawyer Clayton Simms told People, "Understanding and recognizing the relationship was difficult for Robert based on his religion and background. To him, marriage is sacred and forever." His lawyer added, "His parents were his example and they've been married for 27 years. Robert was slow to recognize and accept his marriage was over and continued to connect with his soon-to-be ex-wife. Robert has accepted responsibility for his mistakes and has pleaded guilty to several misdemeanors." Mary, 52, spoke about her son on a podcast on September 10. She said he was "doing as good as he can" after recently becoming sober. Robert spoke candidly about his struggles with drugs on RHOSLC. He eventually completed a stint in rehab in 2024.
