So You Think You Can Dance has lost another one of their beloved contestants. It seems like SYTYCD has said goodbye to so many of their fan favorites lately. With the tragic death of Stephen 'tWitch' Boss shocking the world, followed by Joshua Allen's heartbreaking passing... Ugh. It's all just so sad. And now, fans are saying goodbye to the brave, iconic Donyelle Jones. In case you don't remember, back in 2006 the dancer, whose legal name is Donyelle Denise Wilson, competed on season two of the competition series. She was known for being SUPER close pals with the season winner Benji Schwimmer. She came in third place, too! Sadly, in 2016, Donyelle was diagnosed with breast cancer. And despite her brave documentation of her cancer journey online, the treatments she went through, her cancer progressed. Just a week ago Donyelle announced to her followers she'd entered hospice, writing on Instagram: "It has come to the point where I have started to get my affairs in order ... I am in hospice and I have done everything possible to extend my time here in this dimension. At this point, I have surrendered to whatever God's will is." They wrote: "Today at 8:34am, Donyelle Denise Wilson, transitioned. A wife. A daughter. A sister. A friend. And a warrior who kicked cancer's ass every single day she was here. She was only 46. Taken far too soon. Her best pal Benji also took to his 'gram, sharing a tearful video where he mourned his friend. He said in the caption: "Dancing with you was always a dream..."
