Tamar Braxton broke her silence on the rumors she had an alleged affair with Love and Hip Hop star Mendeecees Harris. "This summer I poured my heart into Heartbreak Renegade, a project that includes a six-song EP and a short film," the singer, 48, said in a statement shared via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, December 2. "Seeing it reach #1 on the iTunes R&B charts and Top 20 overall has meant the world to me and my team. Your support has been incredible!" Braxton continued, "That's why it's especially painful to watch a hurtful and completely untrue rumor spread online this week - accusing me of having an inappropriate relationship with my male costar. Let me be clear: this is a lie. It's sad that the moment you achieve something meaningful, some people choose to respond with gossip and sensationalism." Braxton added that the rumors not only affect her and Harris, 47, but their loved ones. Braxton and Harris connected when he played her love interest in her "Heartbreak Renegade" music video. While Braxton hasn't publicly dated anyone since her 2024 split from ex-fiancé Jeremy "JR" Robinson, Harris has been married to wife Yandy Smith since 2015. Rumors swirled that Braxton and Harris were romantically involved when YouTuber Funky Dineva claimed he saw the pair kiss the same night the Braxton Family Values star injured her mouth. "I am gonna be honest with y'all, it made me uncomfortable. Like, really uncomfortable. Because it was happening right in front of my face," Dineva alleged in a YouTube video uploaded on Tuesday. "They had been sneaking and doing whatever they was doing for a while, but I literally saw them making out in the Uber. She was sitting on his lap, kissing all over him, tongue and everything." Dineva claimed that when he, Braxton and Harris got to her house, the twosome went "upstairs together" and one of Harris' friends joined them at one point. Dineva's post references Braxton's past revelation that she was recovering after being "found in a pool of blood" by her friend. "As the days go by, the worse it is," she wrote via her Instagram Story at the time. "I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins. Pray for me for real. I don't even know what happened to me."
