[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content] There is a shocking update in the case of POORSTACY's death! As we previously reported, the 26-year-old rapper, born Carlito Milfort, passed away from what police reportedly believe is suicide. Multiple sources with knowledge of the investigation told TMZ this week that he shot himself on Saturday morning at a hotel in Boca Raton, Florida. The insiders claimed POORSTACY survived at first and was transported to a local hospital, but he died on Monday after being taken off life support. However, as we mentioned, they think it was a suicide. His family members on the other hand? One source connected to the family said they don't buy it and feel foul play may be involved. The insider did not say why. But NOW we're learning there has been an arrest following his death! S**t! Remember, POORSTACY reportedly checked into the hotel for 10 days with his baby momma and their toddler. It was unclear if they witnessed the incident at first, but TMZ has since confirmed she and the kid WERE in the room during the tragedy! Awful. And it all came out because she's been arrested for child neglect!! The woman's name is Nicole Grikstas (see above inset). She was reportedly arrested hours after POORSTACY's death on Saturday. According to a Boca Raton Police Department affidavit, citing an interview conducted at the police station that day, Nicole revealed what happened to Travis Barker's collaborator. Nicole told cops she, POORSTACY, and their kid checked into the motel a week before the singer died. While there, the couple allegedly did a bunch of drugs in front of their child, including cocaine, MDMA, and Xanax. On Friday, per the affidavit, Nicole and POORSTACY returned to their room at around 11:00 p.m. and took some cocaine. A few hours later, around 3:00 a.m., she said she took MDMA. Throughout the night, Nicole explained to the police that she and her baby daddy had argued, accusing each other of cheating. POORSTACY also accused her of hiding his drugs, which she denied. Nicole claimed he then forcibly removed her clothes to check her vaginal and anal areas for narcotics before hitting her multiple times. Nicole says at one point he pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot her if she didn't tell him where the drugs were. He allegedly alternated between pointing the gun at himself and at her for the next hour. Per her account, he eventually put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger early Saturday morning. F**k... Police claimed she did not try to remove their child from the area at any time during the intense situation. Officers then responded to a 911 call from the front desk. When cops arrived at the scene, they found drugs, paraphernalia, children's toys, and food around the motel room, as well as a loaded Taurus handgun. Not exactly Earth sign energy tho... Following the interview and search, police determined Nicole and POORSTACY exposed their kid to drugs during their stay, and that she did not try to remove their child while the dad had the gun out. She was ultimately booked on a child neglect without causing great bodily harm charge. Meanwhile, a source close to POORSTACY's family told TMZ that her family has the child in their care.
