Bethenny Frankel is easing herself back into the dating world more than a year after her split from ex-fiancé Paul Bernon. "I have been dating, and I haven't fully committed to anyone," Frankel, 55, said during her Wednesday, December 3, appearance on Alex Cooper's "Call Her Daddy" podcast. "There have been individuals that I've met that I definitely like a lot more than others. And now it's getting a little more ... it's becoming a little more serious." Frankel added that she has been "transparent" with any potential partners by telling them that she is "not committing to anything" right now. "I took nine months off. I was celibate for nine months. And I came into dating a full person. Like my mother had died, I took all this time off, and I got out of a relationship and I was just like ... I've done the work," she continued. "I'm now ready. And I know what I want and I'm intentional and I'm not settling." Bethenny Frankel Reveals Reality Shows She Says She Turned Down - And Why Frankel then shared some advice for listeners. "If you're not focused on the right [person], if you break that, you could miss the right thing. You have to be super patient, and you can't get full on a bunch of crap food that makes you feel sick. You gotta wait and eat the good thing," she said. Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in May 2024 that Frankel and Bernon, 46, had split after six years together. A mutual friend of the pair told Us that "it just wasn't going to work" between them. "They are so different - he's an under the radar kind of guy," the insider added. The split came after Frankel sparked speculation about their relationship status by selectively wearing her engagement ring, which she received from Bernon in 2021, in her social media videos. Frankel and Bernon began dating in October 2018 after they met on a dating app. "I was pretty lucky when I walked in and saw him," Frankel recalled to People of their first date in April 2021. "He had a twinkle. He came as advertised - better than advertised. He overshot the mark." Frankel and Bernon briefly split in October 2020, as Us exclusively reported at the time, but they later reunited in January 2021. The pair announced their engagement that March. "I'm very excited, and it's really wonderful," Frankel told Extra at the time. Frankel previously admitted that she was dating again following her split from Bernon during a March appearance on Alix Earle's "Hot Mess" podcast. "Like, what the label is or that [if] I'm getting married." The Real Housewives of New York City alum also revealed the types of men she has encountered while dating, admitting that it has been hard to date as a successful entrepreneur. "What I run into is extremely successful men that by anybody's standards are very wealthy, very successful, very smart. Then they meet someone like me, but they start to question their own business. How successful they are," she said. "No matter what, it will be intimidating. It just will on some level."
