Prince Harry's wife is being accused of trying to "pull the spotlight" away from her sister-in-law this holiday season - and a leather decoration and children's book. Over the weekend, Meghan's As Ever brand took to Instagram to promote a bundle she's selling at Montecito bookstore Godmother. The bundle includes a leather bookmark that reads, "Always remember you matter, you're important and you are loved and you bring to this world things no one else can," and two As Ever jars of honey. But what fans quickly picked up on was the book Meghan stuffed her bookmark into for the promo shoot: The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse by Charlie Mackesy. Anglophiles quickly pointed out that Princess Catherine had JUST worked with Mackesy last year to create illustrations for her annual carol concert at Westminster Abbey last year! Oop! On Tuesday, an insider told RadarOnline: "This is by far Meghan's first big swing at trying to eclipse Catherine's Christmas moment. Everyone sees what she's doing." Another added: "People are joking she's the Grinch of Montecito - trying to steal Christmas from Catherine." Yikes! A California insider said: "Everyone knows Meghan knew precisely what she was signaling. Featuring Mackesy's book looks like a deliberate reference to Catherine's carol service. It comes across as another quiet jab - another carefully placed dig." And another added: "Meghan is intensely focused on her brand and on eclipsing Catherine during the holidays. Some believe she's trying to pull the spotlight straight out of her hands." Currently, Princess Catherine is preparing for her fifth annual Together at Christmas, which will be held at Westminster Abbey on Friday. A source in her camp noted: "Catherine has no time for petty dramas, unlike Meghan. She's focused entirely on her annual Christmas service because she genuinely believes in what it stands for."
