James Whatling / MEGA TheMegaAgency.com Willow trees planted by Prince William for a reforestation project were intentionally poisoned, police revealed. A spokesperson for the South West Peatland Partnership called the incident "an attack on those that live, work, enjoy and rely on these landscapes." The trees were located in the Forest of Dartmoor - land William inherited. The greenery was planted to prevent the erosion of the forest's peaty soils and reduce flood risk.
