Nelson Peltz is coughing up cash to maintain an illegal feature in his home. The 83-year-old billionaire, who is father to Nicola Peltz and father-in-law to Brooklyn Beckham, resides with wife Claudia Peltz in a sprawling $372 million, 13-acre mansion in Florida. And that steep price just got a daily upgrade due to an unapproved project the businessman had constructed! Related: David Beckham KNIGHTED By King Charles! According to the Palm Beach Post, Nelson and Claudia had a padel court built on their massive lot, but failed to get the Town Council's approval beforehand... so now they're being charged $250 DAILY to keep it! The Code Enforcement Board reportedly met in November and unanimously voted on the daily fine, which is being retroactively charged back to October 30th. So that means by the time of writing this post, Nelson owes $8,500! Damn! We mean, that's nothing to a billionaire, but still, DAMN! The fine will reportedly continue to accrue in perpetuity until Nelson and Claudia demolish the court or receive Town Council approval. Board Member Chris Larmoyeux speculated in October as to why the couple may have chosen to not seek approval beforehand: "You figure you hide it. Unless someone flies over with a drone, you don't see it." Uhh... do neighbors really spy on each other with drones? Yikes! What do YOU think Nelson and Claudia will do??
