Amy Schumer is sharing more thoughts about her weight loss. Schumer, 44, posted an Instagram Reel on Monday, December 1, that was filmed by her and husband Chris Fischer's 6-year-old son, Gene. The child gave a tour of the family's house and showed glimpses of his parents too. Schumer added text over the video, addressing her followers' reactions to her slimmed-down figure. She explained that she doesn't use Botox or filler, and that she lost 50 pounds. "Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary," she said. "I did it to survive I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you but the internet caught it and that disease has been cleared." That was an apparent reference to Schumer being diagnosed with Cushing syndrome in February 2024. According to Mayo Clinic, it occurs when the body makes too much cortisol, which can cause a rounded face, high blood pressure, bone loss, stretch marks and type-2 diabetes. Amy Schumer Flaunts Slimmed-Down Figure After Praising GLP-1 Experience "Sorry for whatever feeling it's giving you that I lost that weight," Schumer added, saying that she's "had plastic surgery over the years" and uses Mounjaro. "Sorry to anyone that lets down. I'm pain free. I can [play] tag with my son." Schumer also addressed her experience with perimenopause, offering to "share more if anyone has any questions about how I'm looking or feeling or where I am in my perimenopause process." "I never ever wear" jewelry, she wrote in Monday's post, adding, "Whatever ends up happening with Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism. Fingers crossed we can make it through, he's the best." Amy Schumer Puts Abs on Display in New Mirror Selfie With 'No Filter' Schumer revealed her husband's autism diagnosis in her 2019 comedy special Growing. She's said that it was "positive" for their marriage. "I knew from the beginning that my husband's brain was a little different than mine. My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger's. He has autism spectrum disorder. He's on the spectrum," she said on the special. "And once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he's on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him." Schumer married Fischer in 2018, and they welcomed Gene a year later. Last month, People reported the pair were "privately working through normal issues" that afflict many marriages and noted that both are "committed to the relationship." The Trainwreck star took to Instagram on Sunday, November 30, and showed off the minidress snapshots, posing alongside a carpeted staircase. Gene accidentally, or maybe-on-purpose, photobombed his mom.
