This time, Angela Bassett's daughter was on the guest list, and suddenly everyone I know is acting like they've been tracking Le Bal since birth. Le Bal des Débutantes, usually just called Le Bal, is a super-exclusive Paris event where a small group of young women from prominent families (royalty, Hollywood, billionaires) are formally introduced to society. It's basically a modern, fashion-heavy twist on an old-school debutante ball. It's part charity gala and part couture fantasy. Very fancy indeed. Held on November 29 at the Shangri-La in Paris, this year's ball brought together 19 debutantes... but one Hollywood kid absolutely owned the spotlight. Bronwyn Vance, Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance's daughter, showed up in a Stéphane Rolland gown and instantly became the belle of the ball. For her big society debut, she wore a custom Valentino gown that Vogue says took Alessandro Michele's atelier 750 hours to make... which is wild, because I can't even commit 7.5 minutes to choosing an outfit. 2.
