Mandy Moore is feeling thankful. "It's been a pretty wild and difficult year, but the top line is definitely overwhelming gratitude," the This Is Us actress, 41, captioned an Instagram post on Thursday, November 27. "Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. The most grateful for these 4." Along with her message of reflection, Moore shared three black and white photos of herself sitting in a living room and laughing with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, and their three kids, sons Gus, 4, and Ozzie, 3, and daughter Lou, 14 months. In one of the photos, Lou could be seen crawling across the floor. Earlier this year, Moore and her family nearly lost their home in Altadena, California, to the Eaton wildfire, which was one of a series of devastating wildfires that swept through Los Angeles in January. Approximately 180,000 people were displaced due to the fires, and more than 16,000 structures were destroyed. Mandy Moore and Husband Taylor Goldsmith's Family Album Moore revealed via Instagram on January 8 that the "main part" of her home was "miraculously" still standing after the Eaton fire. However, she noted that it was "not livable," and Goldsmith, 40, lost his music studio. "We lost our garage and back house. Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in laws. My brother and sister in law - 6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends," she wrote at the time. "Feeling weird survivors guilt. We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support. Thanks for everyone for checking on us and offering us help. Altadena strong." Moore later revealed that the home ultimately needed to be torn down. "Clothes, furniture, pretty much everything will have to be disposed of ... maybe even the walls too," she wrote in February. "We won't be there for a very long time as it and the neighborhood itself get sorted out and cleaned and the rebuilding starts. I say all of this because I'm struggling." Mandy Moore/Instagram Moore added, "It goes without saying that our sweet brood and our pets are ALL that matters and home is where we are together ... but having a sanctuary and safe space to feel settled really goes a long way too." In May, a frustrated Moore took to her Instagram Stories to vent her frustrations about the difficult rebuilding process. "Thanks, LA County for making it as frustrating and impossible to rebuild after the fires as possible," she wrote. "Shouldn't be surprised but it's mind boggling the red tape and hoops they're putting us all through." Mandy Moore Posts Sweet Family Pic With New Baby Recognizing that her initial post may have come across "a bit convoluted" due to her "fury," Moore later added, "It's maddening and heartless ... the endless hoops and meaningless protocol LA County is asking of fire victims who want to rebuild and get their lives back. Wasn't California going to make this as easy as possible? We JUST finished construction in November and the fact that we're back at square one is heartbreaking enough." Amid her struggles to rebuild post-fire, Moore also publicly called out a hit-and-run driver who rear-ended her family's car in August. "To the woman who rear-ended my family and then drove off as we pulled over, hope karma finds you," she wrote via Instagram at the time. "Thankfully, everyone was OK but what kind of human does that?"
