Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a pair of extra helpers during their latest Archewell Foundation event. Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, recently brought their children - Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4 - to help prepare and package meals for Los Angeles residents experiencing food insecurity. "As the season of giving begins, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, alongside the Archewell team, joined Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles (OBKLA) to prepare and package meals for community members experiencing food insecurity," a statement on their official website read. "OBKLA is a community-run nonprofit kitchen that brings people together to prepare and distribute fresh, high-quality meals for Angelenos facing hardship." The statement continued, "The meals prepared will reach local schools, shelters, senior centers, and other community organizations serving our neighbors in need. ... The Archewell Foundation remains committed to putting compassion into action-serving and uplifting communities locally and globally." Meghan Markle Teases Thanksgiving Plans With Harry, Archie and Lili In photos from the outing, Harry and Meghan teamed up to scoop and shape cookie dough, with assistance from Archie and Lili. The family of four all wore baseball hats with the OBKLA logo on the front. "Show up, do good," Meghan captioned photos from the outing via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, November 25. While Harry and Meghan's Archewell foundation works year-round to support those in need, they find it especially important to give back over the holidays. "As we head into the holiday season, we celebrate those working every day to ensure that no one is left behind and where the needs of our neighbors are met," the Archewell statement concluded. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex launched their nonprofit, named after Archie, in 2020 after stepping down from their duties as senior working royals. Harry and the former Suits actress relocated from the prince's native England to California at the time with their son in tow. Lili, for her part, was born in the Golden State in June 2021. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Charitable Work Throughout the Years "I'm a mom with kids at that age where they are constantly learning something new," Meghan told Harper's Bazaar in a November profile about her new normal. "I watch them face things that feel completely insurmountable every day. But, you can remember and say, 'I know it seems really hard right now, but trust me, that's going to come so easily soon.' I can give myself the same grace as a founder. There's no such thing as perfect. I, too, get to make mistakes." In addition to Archewell, Meghan runs her As Ever lifestyle brand, hosts a "Confessions of a Female Founder" podcast, produces Netflix programs and stars on the With Love, Meghan docuseries for the streaming platform. "My office is right by the kitchen, and I love that I can work from home," she added to the outlet. "It's a great luxury, [and Lili often] comes and sits on my lap when I'm in the middle of the meeting, whether it's about P and L for my brand or it's about something creative." Harry and Meghan will also presumably be celebrating Thanksgiving at home on Thursday, November 26. "Let the 'game' begin. Get it? #momjokes," Meghan wrote via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, November 25, sharing a photo of her then-uncooked turkey.
