Nick Cannon is raising eyebrows with his latest comments about his parenting techniques. The Masked Singer host, 45, revealed during the Monday, November 24, episode of his "We Playin' Spades" podcast that he would rather "raise a bully" than let one of his children "be bullied." The topic came up when Cannon asked girlfriend Bre Tiesi about the last time she got her "ass whooped." Tiesi, 34, responded, "Before I came here by your child," referring to their 3-year-old son, Legendary Love. Nick Cannon's Big Family! What His Partners Have Said About His Parenting "I tell [him] do not hit girls, you can hit boys," Cannon told his partner. "Because them other little boys try to test him. Nah, you gotta throw hands. You gotta teach your child how to defend themself. They are going to get into fights at school." Cannon added that if his child did get into a fight at school, he would want them to "punch the s**t out that little motherf***er." The Wild 'n Out star added that he learned to defend himself as a "very small child" through Taekwondo. "I don't tell anyone how to raise their kids, but at some point, the confidence as a man of knowing how to [fight], it helps you in life," he concluded. The clip of the podcast discussion circulated via social media as fans criticized Cannon for his controversial take. There is a large middle ground between the bully and the bullied. Let's just all try to raise decent and kind humans," a third fan wrote. Cannon is a father to 12 children. Nick Cannon Forgets 2 of His Kids' Names When Trying to Remember All 12 In September, Cannon admitted that "trauma" stemming from his divorce from Carey, 56, in 2014 contributed to his decision to have such a large family with multiple women. "I didn't get a chance to slow down until I got in therapy," Cannon said on "The Breakfast Club" at the time. "But I was just like, 'Look, I just got to keep making money. I got to stay hot. I got to stay funny.' And everything else figured itself out. And I just didn't do the work. So then I looked up with 12 kids later. Wow, I could have did things very differently." He continued, "But I stand firm on all of my decisions because I love all my kids. I love my family infrastructure. But I know it all started from a place of pain and not really healing properly."
