Simon Cowell is responding to the people who think he's responsible for Liam Payne's tragic death. Ever since the 31-year-old's passing, fans have been grieving and trying to make sense of it. Some social media users have gone as far as to say it was the X Factor creator's fault for creating One Direction in the first place, suggesting Simon's signing of the boys was a direct pipeline to Liam's death. Which, we mean, that's a crazy thing to even suggest. Simon is a controversial figure in his own right, but to suggest it was his fault Liam died? So horrible and uncalled for. He said on a recent episode of the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast he's handling it - by completely ignoring it: "I don't read any of this stuff because if I did, you would just torture yourself. The idea that you are essentially responsible for somebody's life, 10 years after you've signed someone? You can't do that." Very understandable.
