The Real Housewives of Potomac alum Mia Thornton is speaking out after her arrest. Just before celebrating her 41st birthday on Tuesday, November 25, the former Bravo reality star seemingly referenced her recent legal troubles in a series of social media posts. "This new year is about rebuilding, refining and rising with purpose," Thornton wrote via Instagram on Monday, November 24. "I'm grateful for the clarity that comes through adversity, and I'm committed to moving forward with integrity and grace. Thank you for the love, my loves." "This past week reminded me of the importance of staying grounded, especially when life feels loud," she wrote via Instagram on Monday. "I'm stepping into another year with clarity, accountability and gratitude. Challenges don't define me - how I rebuild does." On November 19, Thornton was arrested in Atlanta for allegedly stealing $11,000 worth of furniture. A police report viewed by Us Weekly claims that the reality star allegedly stole items, including radios, TVs, DVD players and other goods. Thornton hasn't been officially charged yet and has not entered a plea. Us Weekly has reached out to her team for comment. "In the midst of unexpected moments, I'm remembering who I am: a mother, a creator, a woman evolving in real time," Thornton shared via Instagram on Monday. "I'm choosing peace, accountability and personal growth. Thank you to those who continue to support my journey." "I'm embracing this next chapter with softness and strength," she wrote via Instagram on Tuesday. "Life will test you, but grace and self-awareness always win. Thank you to everyone who's shown love as I continue to grow, learn, and elevate." It's been a year of change for Thornton, who announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Potomac in April. "My family and I have made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, and with that, I will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac next season," she announced at the time. "The past four seasons have been an unforgettable journey, one filled with growth, lessons, and so many incredible memories." In April, Thornton also shared a glimpse of her new living situation after breaking up with Atlanta-based radio host Incognito - better known as Inc. "This is called life. It seems like life is lifing for her. And when life starts lifing, you've got to make good decisions, gotta make great choices," Gizelle Bryant shared on Monday's episode of the "Reasonably Shady" podcast. "I think she's making some poor choices."
