Prince Philip allegedly gave his grandson Prince Harry QUITE the warning about his choice of wife back in the day! According to a royal biographer, the late Duke of Edinburgh reportedly went to the Duke of Sussex not long after he and Meghan Markle got engaged in 2017 and supposedly delivered a VERY cold tip-off about whether (or not) it was wise to date actresses... Related: Meghan Markle's Intriguing Comment About How Prince Harry 'Has My Back'! Okay, so, according to royal biographer Andrew Lownie, who wrote the book Entitled and shared an excerpt with DailyMail.com on Sunday, Prince Philip supposedly said this to Harry after it became clear that the Suits alum was going to be in his life forever following the proposal: "One steps out with actresses, one doesn't marry them." WHAT?! Lownie isn't the only biographer who has referenced Prince Philip when it comes to Meghan and Harry, either. As you may recall, royal author Ingrid Seward stated in her 2024 book My Mother And I, Philip that the Duke of Edinburgh was "one of the very few wary" of the El Lay native when she first started dating Harry in 2016. Seward's book went so far to claim that Philip not only thought it was uncanny that Meghan reminded him so much of Wallis Simpson - who is, of course, the American socialite who King Edward VIII abdicated to marry - but also that Meghan ended up being nicknamed "DOW" by some in a not-so-nice nod to Wallis, who had been the Duchess of Windsor. Plus, as you are probably recalling right about now, these are far from the first things we have heard regarding comments Prince Philip allegedly made about the union of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. YEESH! Of course, Philip died back in 2021 at the age of 99. So, he's seen a lot of proverbial royal rumbles. And been involved in a few of 'em, too, as we can see here! Reactions, y'all??
